Attorneys (Candi) Peeples and Thomas (Tommy) Davis operate their individual practices with the shared goals of providing superior representation for families in need of advice and guidance during these difficult life changing events.

Candi has concentrated her practice solely in the traditional areas of Family Law since 2000. These include divorce, child custody/support, alimony, property division, post-divorce modification or enforcement action, adoption and assisted reproductive technology, including gestational surrogacy. Candi is a proud graduate of The University of Georgia (’97) and she earned her law degree cum laude from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (’00). Candi is fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys (AAML), a fellow in the International Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys (IAML), and also a certified Family Law trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. She was chosen as one of Birmingham’s “Top Attorneys” in the area of Family Law in 2009-2014 by the Birmingham Magazine. She is a former Chair of the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar and was honored to be chosen by her peers in this section as the “Attorney of the Year” in 2013. She serves as a member of the governing council of the American Bar Association Family Law Section, and also as the CLE Co-Chair, where she plans educational programming for the section’s three national meetings each year.
Candi lives in Birmingham with her Husband Lloyd and her proudest accomplishments are her two wonderful children, Chandler and Lily.
Tommy consistently receives high praise from his clients, and truly enjoys his work. He handles many different types of family law cases, but focuses on cases which arise from a marriage, such as divorce and post-divorce modifications and issues. Tommy is a proud graduate of Auburn University, Accountancy/Economics (’02), and he earned his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (’05) where he was named to the Dean’s list each and every semester for his outstanding academic achievement. A native of Shelby County, Alabama, Tommy was the grateful recipient of the Calvin and Ina Driver Scholarship during his time at Cumberland. The Driver Scholarship is awarded to a student from a smaller community, with a record of outstanding academic achievement.
Tommy lives in Birmingham with his two Cocker Spaniels: J.R. and Sue Ellen and takes pleasure in reading, running for exercise, and service work.
Julia G. Williams
Julia has lived in Birmingham for three years. Prior to coming to Birmingham, Julia practiced family law in Tennessee and Mississippi. She graduated cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 2009. While in law school, Julia married her husband, Oliver, and began her legal career. Several years and three states later, Julia has found her niche at Peeples & Davis. Her favorite part of her job is getting to know clients and helping them through their legal matters. Julia is an active member of Independent Presbyterian Church and involved with the Junior League of Birmingham, Children’s Art Guild, and Ballet Guild.
Julia lives in Birmingham with her husband Oliver, three precious girls, Elizabeth Magee, Mary Thorne, and Poppy and a sweet dog named Ally.
Lauren Spralding is from the small town of Haleyville, Alabama. Lauren attended college at The University of Alabama where Lauren received a bachelor of arts in Political Science and History, cum laude, with honors in December, 2011. While there, La was an active member of the Alpha Delta Chi sorority. She served in several positions including a term on Executive Board as treasurer. Lauren is currently a member of the Alpha Delta Chi Tau Chapter Alumnae Board where she helps plan alumnae events and facilitates continued involvement with the active chapter. Lauren received her law degree in May 2015 from Cumberland School of Law.
She is currently married with no children. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, embroidery, reading, and horizontal running.
